The day kicks off with a free 1 Mile Fun Run at 8:30 AM, followed by the main event, the 5K race, starting at 9:00 AM.
Participants will enjoy a scenic course that begins at Town Commons, winds through vibrant Downtown Greenville, and finishes along the picturesque bridge at Town Commons. With registration fees starting at just $30 until February 7th, runners can secure their spot and even snag a guaranteed T-shirt if they register early! After the races, stick around for a fantastic celebration that includes free beer from Nauti Dog Brewing Co. (21+), delicious food, games, and a chance to connect with local sponsors. East Carolina University's Physical Therapy Club is back hosting its 5th annual PT the Pirate 5k in person and virtually with support from our local sponsors! All proceeds will be used for equipment in our student-run clinic, student conferences, other education needs and promoting the ECU PT Club in Greenville and surrounding areas.
Our 1 Mile Fun Run is free and will start at 8:30am. Our 5k race will begin at 9:00am. Prizes will include coupons to Fleet Feet Greenville, Cryotherapy coupons to Kinetic PT, and even more! Stick around after the race for free beer provided by Nauti Dog Brewing Co. (21+), food and games, as well as a tabling event to meet some of our sponsors! We hope you join us as we celebrate 5 years of our race!
VIRTUAL: Run anywhere on your own and upload your results via Racejoy, March 1-3
COST OF REGISTRATION: $30 until February 7th. $35 until March 1st.
GIVEAWAY: All 5k participants who register before February 7th will be guaranteed a T-shirt.
AGE GROUPS: Overall male and female, 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and up.
PACKET PICKUP: Friday, February 28th at Fleet Feet Greenville (Time TBD). Packets can also be picked up the day of the race. Virtual packets will be shipped to participants following the race.
RACE COURSE: The race starts from Town Commons on 1st street and takes you through scenic Downtown Greenville to 5th street and finishes along the bridge at town commons.
PARKING: There is parking along 1st street in addition to adjacent roads and the Downtown Parking Deck on 4th street.
