Get ready for an exhilarating weekend as East Carolina University's Physical Therapy Club proudly presents the 5th annual PT the Pirate 5K! Scheduled for Saturday, March 1st to Monday, March 3rd, 2025, this fantastic event will take place in the vibrant city of Greenville, Pitt. Participants can look forward to a thrilling 5K race starting at 9:00 AM, alongside a free 1 Mile Fun Run kicking off at 8:30 AM.
Join in the fun and support a great cause, as all proceeds will benefit essential equipment for the student-run clinic, student conferences, and educational needs. Runners of all ages can compete for exciting prizes, including coupons to Fleet Feet Greenville and discounts for Cryotherapy treatments at Kinetic PT. Stick around after the race for complimentary beer from Nauti Dog Brewing Co. (for participants 21 and older), delicious food, and games, along with a chance to meet local sponsors.

East Carolina University's Physical Therapy Club is back hosting its 5th annual PT the Pirate 5k in person and virtually with support from our local sponsors! All proceeds will be used for equipment in our student-run clinic, student conferences, other education needs and promoting the ECU PT Club in Greenville and surrounding areas.
Our 1 Mile Fun Run is free and will start at 8:30am. Our 5k race will begin at 9:00am. Prizes will include coupons to Fleet Feet Greenville, discounts for Cryotherapy treatment at Kinetic PT in Greenville, and even more! Stick around after the race for free beer provided to participants by Nauti Dog Brewing Co. (21+), food and games, as well as a tabling event to meet some of our sponsors! We hope you join us as we celebrate 5 years of our race!
VIRTUAL: Run anywhere on your own and upload your results via Racejoy, March 1-3
COST OF REGISTRATION: $30 until February 7th. $35 until March 1st.
GIVEAWAY: All 5k participants who register before February 7th will be guaranteed a T-shirt.
AGE GROUPS: Overall male and female, 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and up.
PACKET PICKUP: Friday, February 28th at Fleet Feet Greenville 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Packets can also be picked up the day of the race. Virtual packets will be shipped to participants following the race.
RACE COURSE: The race starts from Town Common on 1st street and takes you through scenic Downtown Greenville to 5th street and finishes along the bridge at town commons.
PARKING: There is parking along 1st street in addition to adjacent roads and the Downtown Parking Deck on 4th street.
