Taking place at the beautiful Falling Springs Recreation Center Pavilion in Versailles, Woodford, this exciting event promises a unique blend of community spirit and festive fall fun. Participants can look forward to a scenic 5K course, as well as a short 200-yard Kid's Fun Run, making it an ideal outing for families and runners of all ages.
Join us at 2:00 PM for the main event, where you can enjoy free race photos, commemorative Pumpkin Smash 5K t-shirts, and a lively atmosphere filled with great music, food, and fellowship. The day kicks off with a Kid's Fun Run at 1:45 PM, followed by the much-anticipated Pumpkin Smash, where leftover Halloween pumpkins will be hoisted and smashed by the local fire department. With awards for the top three male and female finishers, as well as a prize for the largest social team, this event not only supports a worthy cause—the Versailles Kiwanis Club—but also guarantees a smashing good time for all involved! OUR RACE IS BEING HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR PUMPKIN SMASH EVENT. THIS IS WHERE WE PARTNER WITH THE VERSAILLES FIRE DEPARTMENT WHO HOIST THEIR FIRE LADDER WAY UP AND WE INVITE PEOPLE FROM THE COMMUNITY TO BRING THEIR LEFT-OVER PUMPKINS FROM HALLOWEEN TO HAVE THEM HOISTED, DROPPED AND SMASHED.
