Participants of all ages, including kids and dogs, are welcome to join in on this rewarding experience, which starts with a meet-up at 9:45 AM for a special guest appearance before the ruck begins promptly at 10:30 AM.

MOTHER RUCKER HISTORY:
I KNOW FIRST HAND WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO CARRY A HEAVY LOAD. MY EXPERIENCE AS A COMBAT VET AND PERSONALLY BEING DIAGNOSED WITH MENTAL INJURIES LIKE PTSD. MY OWN SUFFERING BLOSSOMED INTO A DESIRE TO HELP OTHERS MANAGE THEIR SUFFERING AND TRAUMA BY GETTING OUTDOORS AND RUCKING. TOGETHER WE CAN SAVE LIVES, INSPIRE OTHERS TO KEEP ON RUCKIN, AND LEAVE THIS PLANET AND EVERYTHING ON IT BETTER THAN WE FOUND IT.
WHAT IS RUCKING?
RUCKING IS A NEW TAKE ON AN OLD FORM OF EXERCISE. IT INVOLVES WALKING OR HIKING WITH A WEIGHTED BACKPACK (RUCKSACK) OR WEIGHTED VEST. WHY IS RUCKING GOOD FOR YOU? 1) MENTAL TOUGHNESS, MY PERSONAL FAVORITE. WHEN YOU MASTER YOUR MIND YOU CAN LIVE YOUR DESIRED REALITY. RUCKING GIVES YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHALLENGE YOURSELF AND PUSH THROUGH DISCOMFORT RESULTING IN A STRONGER MIND. 2) RUCKING WILL BUILD ENDURANCE AND STRENGTH AS WELL.

Both the Main Hatchery Building and the Education Center will be open the day of our event to walk through and enjoy. (Public bathrooms available in each). Volunteers from the Puyallup Historical Hatchery Foundation will be on hand to share information, stories and a bit of history. Along the way there are round ponds with Rainbow Trout and Salmon, a view of The Great Blue Herron Rookery above the abatement pond with green top and more. THIS WILL BE A RUCKing FUN TIME FOR ALL AGES!
