Get ready for an exhilarating day of athleticism and community spirit at the 5th Annual Parsons VFD Cheat River Triathlon on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in the scenic town of Parsons, Tucker County! This thrilling event kicks off at Mill Race Park, where participants will embark on a challenging 3.9-mile run to Hendricks Park. After the run, athletes will paddle 3+ miles back to Mill Race Park in either a kayak or canoe, followed by a dynamic 7-mile bike ride that takes them to Hendricks Park and back.

For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, a 2K walk will also take place on the walking track at Mill Race Park, using the same start and finish line as the triathlon. This event not only promises an unforgettable experience but also supports a great cause, as all proceeds benefit the Parsons Volunteer Fire Department.
