Join us for the exhilarating 4th Annual Race to the River 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, in the charming town of Spencer, Rowan County! This exciting event, part of Rowan County Creek Week 2025, offers a fast point-to-point 5K course that starts near Spencer Town Park and finishes at the scenic Yadkin River Park Trailhead. Participants can look forward to a vibrant atmosphere, with trolley shuttles provided by Novant Health to transport runners back to the park for the awards ceremony and the Race to the River Festival, happening from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
For our young runners, a delightful 1/2-mile Fun Run will follow the 5K, allowing kids 12 and under to enjoy four fun laps around the new Spencer Town Park. Every participant will receive a race t-shirt and a sponsor bag filled with treats and gifts. Awards will be given to the top finishers in various categories, making this a competitive yet family-friendly event. Race-day registration will be open from 8:00 AM to 8:50 AM at the Spencer Town Park Pavilion. Best of all, all proceeds from this fantastic race

ROWAN CREEK WEEK'S FOURTH ANNUAL RACE TO THE RIVER 5K WILL BEGIN NEAR SPENCER TOWN PARK AT THE INTERSECTION OF 3RD STREET AND SALISBURY AVENUE IN SPENCER AND FOLLOW US-29 NORTH TO THE FINISH LINE AT SPENCER'S YADKIN RIVER PARK TRAILHEAD (OLD NC FINISHING COMPANY) AND THE WIL-COX BRIDGE. TROLLEY SHUTTLES (SPONSORED BY NOVANT HEALTH) WILL PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION BACK TO SPENCER TOWN PARK BETWEEN 9:30 AND 11:30 A.M.
