Join us for the vibrant Rachel & Friends 5K on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, in beautiful Washington Township, Montgomery! This uplifting event celebrates the strength and beauty of individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with Down Syndrome and Autism. Participants can choose between a 5K or a 1-mile race, making it accessible for everyone, regardless of fitness level.
Before the main races, children can take part in a free fun run, where all young participants will receive a ribbon to commemorate their achievement. Don’t miss the opportunity to register online by September 20, 2026, to guarantee a race shirt, and remember that in-person registration will be available on the day of the event starting at 1:00 PM. Join us in recognizing the incredible contributions of our community while competing for awards, including $100 gift cards for the top male and female runners, as well as prizes for age group winners. Organiser's Description
Rachel & Friends is a non-profit organization that works with adults with developmental disabilities. In addition to day programming, we work with individuals in the community that also have developmental challenges. The purpose of this race is to empower the community to see the amazing individuals around us with Down Syndrome, Autism or other challenges and embrace the beauty in all of us. The event offers two race distances, 5k or 1 mile. Choose whatever is best for you! There is also a free fun run for the kids before the start of the 5k and 1-Mile races. All kids will receive a ribbon when they finish the fun run.
Please note: The online registration deadline, to receive a shirt at the 5k is September 20, 2026. Those who register online, or in person, after this deadline, may not receive a shirt at the 5k. In-person registration will be available on the day of the event at 1:00pm.
Packet Pick up will occur on October 2, 2026 from 3p-6p at 1700 Lyons Road, Suite A2A New You Total Wellness.
Awards will be handed out per age category at the end of the race and $100 gift card will be handed out to the overall male and female runners.
