Join us for Rachel's Run on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Tyngsboro, Middlesex, as we come together to honor the memory of Rachel Morrison. This uplifting event features a community run and a walk, welcoming participants of all abilities to take part in a spirited and friendly atmosphere. As we lace up our shoes, we remember Rachel, a dedicated PhD student who tragically lost her life in 2014, and continue her legacy by raising funds for the Academy of Notre Dame's Rachel Morrison Science Lab and Scholarship Fund.
In the true spirit of Thanksgiving, participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to support a local food pantry, just as Rachel and her friends did during their high school cross country runs. Organiser's Description
These races and walks raise funds for the Academy of Notre Dame Rachel Morrison Science Lab and the Rachel Morrison Scholarship Fund. This run was done each year around Thanksgiving by Rachel and her friends on her high school cross country course at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough, MA. She and her friends brought cans of food and other non-perishable food items to the run to be distributed to a local food pantry. Now we run to remember Rachel. Rachel was a 4th year PhD student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla CA until her tragic death from a hit and run drunk driver on the night of March 28, 2014 in the city of Del Mar, CA.
