Not only will you enjoy a delightful day outdoors, but you'll also be supporting the mission of 405 Animal Rescue, with opportunities to meet and adopt a new furry running partner! The race features awards for the top three finishers in both men's and women's categories, as well as special prizes for the first male and female finishers who bring their dogs along. Red Coyote is kicking off 2025 with the Red Coyote Puppy Love 5K! Join the Pack for a 5K run or walk with and for your best four-legged friends.
The event will support the mission of 405 Animal Rescue [https://www.405animalrescue.org/] and you might even have the chance to meet and adopt a new running buddy!
This race is 100% dog friendly for all well-socialized pups on a leash. We do ask that any owners running with dogs be prepared with a "pick up" bag to attend to any unscheduled potty breaks (yours or theirs) on the course. ;-) Permit requires we leave it spotless so we need everyone to do their part!
You can run with a dog or without. The course loops in such a way as to have traffic moving in just one direction. We trust that everyone will be accommodating and have a good time. There will be regular awards for the top three men and women finishers and the winners of the USATF age divisions. We'll also have a prize for the first male and female finisher with a dog!
For additional fun, participate in our costume contest! We'll have a special prize for the doggo / owner with the most amazing get up.

Leashed and well-socialized dogs are welcome to run with our athletes at this out and back loop course. The terrain is flat, fast, and suitable for participants of all abilities. -
Pushchair 5k

This division is for the athletes riding in pushchairs supported by organizations like Team Hoyt Oklahoma, Ainsley's Angels, and the Oklahoma City Landrunners. Athletes who are serving as "pushers" should register in the regular 5K Run to be included in the open division. -

Can't be with us in person but still want to be part of the fun? Do the run on your own time and post your results from race day May 19th to Sunday May 26th. while we aren't able to mail packets, you or a friend can pick up your packet during the normal times. Simply let us know that you'll be running virtually and we'll get you a finisher medal as well!
