Get ready for the 10th Annual Ridge Runner 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, September 27th, 2025! This exciting event will take place in the scenic surroundings of Big Ridge State Park in Maynardville, Union. The day kicks off at 9 AM with the challenging 5K trail run, followed by the fun and family-friendly 1 Mile Fun Run at 9:15 AM. Participants will experience a picturesque 3.1-mile trail that showcases the beauty of the area, while the 1-mile course offers a simple asphalt path perfect for runners of all ages.
Registration is now open, with fees set at $30 for the 5K if you preregister online, or $35 on race day. The 1 Mile Fun Run costs $15 for preregistration and $20 on the day of the event. Don't miss out on the chance to secure your T-shirt by registering before September 19th! Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category, and every participant in the 1-mile fun run will receive a ribbon. Ridge State Park on State Hwy 61 between Norris and Maynardville.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The 3.1 mile course is a beautiful trail run & the 1 mile fun run is a simple
asphalt course.
DIRECTIONS: Take I-75 to exit 122, then follow Highway 61 east for approximately 12 miles. Park
entrance is on the left. GPS junkies, look for 1015 Big Ridge Park Rd, Maynardville, TN 37807. Latitude,
Longitude: 36.26138, -83.92165.
REGISTRATION & FEES: $30 5K Preregistration; on-line registration. $35 race day registration.
$15 -1 mile Fun Run preregistration; on-line registration. $20 -1 mile Fun Run race day registration.
