Join us for the 5th Annual Rivaura Rosé River Run/Walk on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in the scenic Juliaetta, Nez Perce. This exciting family-friendly event is designed for all ages and features a beautiful 5K course that winds through the stunning Rivaura Estate Vineyard. Participants will start at the picturesque Event Barn, running along picturesque Hewett Road toward Spaulding Park before turning back to finish at the Event Barn.
Last year, over 500 enthusiastic runners and walkers joined us, and we expect an even bigger turnout this year! Every race day participant will receive a commemorative T-shirt, a wine tumbler, and a glass of Rivaura's delightful Cab Franc Rosé or a refreshing River Ranch Brewing Co. beer. For those under 21, sparkling cider will be offered. Plus, children 10 and under can participate for free! The festivities kick off at 8:30 AM, with music, food, drinks, and goodies available to enjoy before and after the race.
This year, we're also proud to support Fentanyl Awareness Month, dedicating a portion of race proceeds to this important cause. Join us in honoring the memory of Cal

RIVAURA ESTATE VINEYARD AND WINERY proudly presents our 5th annual Rivaura Ros'e River Run/Walk:
LIMITED T-SHIRT SIZES AVAILABLE, SIGN UP QUICK!
This family friendly 5K will start at Rivaura's beautiful Event Barn located inside the South Vineyard. Participants will run through the vineyard before running West onto Hewett Road headed towards Spaulding Park. About half way down there will be a turnaround point. Racers will follow the same route and eventually return back through the vineyard, finishing at the Event Barn. Over 500 runners/walkers participated last year and we expect many more this year!

MAY IS FENTANYL AWARENESS MONTH, AND RIVAURA WILL BE DONATING A PORTION OF THE RACE PROCEEDS AND 100% OF THE DONATIONS OF THIS EVENT TO FENTANYL AWARENESS. CAL DANIEL HEINEN WAS MORE THAN JUST A FRIEND TO THE HEWETT FAMILY, HE WAS ALSO WINEMAKER LANE HEWETT'S BEST FRIEND AND CLASSMATE. HIS LIFE ENDED SUDDENLY IN NOVEMBER 2019 DUE TO AN ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE FROM A PILL LACED WITH FENTANYL.
THIS EPIDEMIC IS BECOMING OVERWHELMING. CAL'S FRIENDS AND FAMILY WITH RIVAURA ARE TAKING A STAND. FENTANYL IS AN OPIOID 50 - 100 TIMES STRONGER THAN MORPHINE. DEATHS FROM SUBSTANCES LINKED TO FENTANYL HAVE NEARLY TRIPLED SINCE 2019. IT IS NOW THE #1 CAUSE OF DEATH FOR AMERICANS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 45. ILLICIT FENTANYL KILLS 175 AMERICANS EVERY SINGLE DAY - DEATHS ARE ON THE RISE ACROSS THE COUNTRY. IT SEEMS EVERYONE KNOWS SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN IMPACTED BY THIS CRISIS.
