The Central Arkansas Library System [https://cals.org/] and the North Little Rock Public Library System [https://www.nlrlibrary.org/] have partnered to create the Rock, Paper, Run 5K to celebrate National Library Week.
This family fun run/walk 5K will connect the two library systems, celebrating our shared love of books and community! The race will begin and end at the North Little Rock Public Library Systems Argenta Library (420 Main Street, North Little Rock). Participants will run down Broadway, through Riverfront Park, across the Clinton Bridge, and back to Argenta Library.
Runners and spectators are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book characters and join in the fun!

Celebrate the power of libraries at the National Library Week Party at Laman Library (2801 Orange Street, North Little Rock)! Stop by to explore two mobile librariesthe NLRPLS Rover and the CALS Cruiserfilled with books, technology, and fun. Try hands-on activities with the Innovation Hub, play games, get creative with crafts, and learn about genealogy and the Memory Lab. There will be chances to win prizes, grab a bite from local food trucks, and connect with your community.
No registration is needed, and all supplies are provided. This event is open to all agesjust come ready to explore and have fun!
