This is the 12th annual event celebrating the joy of trail running, where participants can choose from a variety of race distances including 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K, and 50K. Whether you're looking to tackle one race or both, you'll have the chance to experience Ohio's only trail built by runners, for runners.
As part of this fantastic series, participants who sign up for both events will receive an exclusive Trail Package that includes a stylish RnR Hoody, a pair of Feetures Socks, and a handy Handheld Water Bottle! Every finisher will also earn a medal, with special belt buckles awarded to those completing the 50K double. Join the growing Central Ohio Trail Running Community and embrace the great outdoors this winter! Go outside and do things! Explore the trails with us this winter in our 12th annual Rocks and Roots Winter Trail Series in January and February! Choose from distances of 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K, or 50K at both dates. Opt to run just one of the races, or sign up for both races and receive the Trail Package, which includes our RnR Hoody, Feetures Socks, and a Handheld Water Bottle! Keep reading to learn more!
For 2025 our events will be held on Sunday, January 12 and Sunday, February 16. We are again partnering with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to put on our annual trail running series at Alum Creek State Park. Just like in the past you have the option to sign up for 2 event dates and a WIDE variety of distances, on the only trail in Ohio built for runners, by runners, the Rocks and Roots Trail at Alum Creek!
What - 10K, 20K, 30K 40K & 50K Trail Racing Series
When - Sunday, January 12th and Sunday, February 16th.
START TIME - FOR OUR FEBRUARY RACE, WE WILL RETURN TO WAVES.

Where: Rocks and Roots Trail at Alum Creek State Park. The start of the race is located just off of Hollenback Rd and just south of the dog park(3993 Hollenback Rd Lewis Center, OH 43035). Watch for yellow Fleet Feet arrows pointing you in the right direction!
The Central Ohio Trail Running Community continues to grow and we are excited to provide you with the resources our trail community needs! Join the Rocks and Roots Trail Runners Association for training runs and trail works days as we ramp up for the annual Rocks and Roots Trail Series!
