Run the fourth annual ROTARY PEACHTREE CITY HALF MARATHON & 5K, on JANUARY 16, 2027.

Race through wooded greenspace, on well-marked and supported multi-use paths, giving you every opportunity to run your best. Both the 5k and Half Marathon courses are USATF CERTIFIED and the 5K IS A QUALIFYING EVENT FOR THE 2027 AJC PEACHTREE ROAD RACE.

Forget about miles of long, straight, boring roads. Instead, you'll run on paved multi-use paths that wind through beautiful green spaces, beneath shade trees, past sparkling ponds, and through short tunnels. Every turn brings fresh scenery, making the miles fly by and keeping you engaged from start to finish.

Our courses are designed to help you focus on what matters mostyour race. With abundant directional signage and course marshals guiding you along the route, you can run confidently while chasing your fastest finish.

Your participation will help the Rotary Club of Peachtree City [https://www.peachtreecityrotary.org/] continue making a positive impact and contributing locally and globally to improve lives, eradicate disease, provide essential resources, and increase access to education. We accomplish this through grants to local nonprofits and internationally through the Rotary Foundation [https://www.rotary.org/en/about-rotary/rotary-foundation]. Our Rotary club members provide hands-on service with partner organizations throughout the year, including hosting the Rotary Grand Prix 5k Series [https://ptcrc.com/rotary-grand-prix/], to serve17 local elementary school fundraisers in an effort to promote fitness and reduce childhood obesity.

COURSE: Approximately 1.2 miles on paved road and 11.9 miles on rolling, paved golf cart paths.
MINIMUM AGE: 14 years of age or older on race day and able to finish before cut-off

5K (USATF CERTIFIED COURSE AND 2027 AJC PEACHTREE ROAD RACE QUALIFIER)

COURSE: 0.9 miles of paved street, 2.2 miles of paved, rolling golf cart paths
MINIMUM AGE: 6 years of age or older on race day and able to finish before cut-off

RACE TIMING

The Half Marathon and 5K races each begin with a common "gun start" time, while individual finish times are based on a disposable electronic chip timing attached to each participant's race number bib. The overall first, second, and third place finishers, both male and female in the Half Marathon and 5k will be determined based on gun time. All masters level and age group awards will be based on chip timing finish time, and all individual results will be listed by timing chip finish time. Overall male and female first, second, and third place winners for each race will NOT be counted among the top three age group winners in their age category.

RACE SHIRTS

Half marathon and 5k participants receive a shirt based on size indicated in their online registration. In-person runners' race shirts may be received during packet pick-up. SHIRTS AND/OR SIZES MAY RUN OUT! SIZE EXCHANGES ON RACE DAY NOT GUARANTEED.

RACECOURSE SUPPORT:

* BAG CHECK - runners can check bags free pre-race for post-race layers
* HEATED TENT - take the chill off post race in the Expo area after you finish the race
* RESTROOMS Port-o-lets available at Expo-finish and start areas before/after race, and selectively on race course
* WATER STATIONS Water & Gatorade provided at water stations on course
* COURSE MARSHALS courses are supported by stationary and roving marshals
* PACERS - Half Marathon pacers will pace from start for target finish times of (hours:minutes): TBD
* MEDICAL EMTs on bikes will be patrolling the course and basic first aid is available at finish area
* FINISH AREA - Water, Gatorade, Fruit, & Snacks (free to runners); also for-sale food & beverages may be available in the Vendor Expo

HALF MARATHON & 5K FINISHER MEDALS

All registered runners who complete the HALF MARATHON & 5K will receive a unique FINISHERS MEDAL immediately after finishing the race.

AWARDS (CEREMONY TIMES TBD)

Award recipients will be announced during the awards ceremony adjacent to finish area. AWARDS MUST BE CLAIMED DURING THE CEREMONY AND WILL NOT BE MAILED TO RECIPIENTS.

TOP FINISHER AWARDS:
HALF MARATHON AWARDS for _overall top 3 Male and Female finishers in Open Categories (based on gun start) and Masters'_ categories (based on chip finish time).

Plus top finisher 5K award for _first place overall male and first place overall female_.

Overall male and female first, second, and third place winners for each race will NOT be counted among the top three age group winners in each winner's own age category.

For the safety of runners, dogs and strollers are not permitted with runners on the route.

CANCELATION / WEATHER / REFUNDS

This event will be held rain or shine, warm or cold weather unless event organizers determine in conjunction with local authorities that conditions necessitate cancelation. In the event of cancelation, race organizers are not responsible for the costs of participant travel and lodging expenses. If organizers cancel the event, NO RACE REGISTRATION CREDITS OR REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED, BUT ALL REGISTERED HALF MARATHON & 5K RUNNERS WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO A VIRTUAL EVENT, WITH RACE SHIRTS AND FINISHER MEDALS MAILED TO RUNNERS FOR RECEIPT WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE PLANNED IN-PERSON EVENT.
