Do you want to start running or get back into running? RICHMOND ROAD RUNNERS CLUB (RRRC) has the perfect 6-week program to help you start and succeed. _ALL RUNNERS AND WALKERS WELCOME!_
THE NEW RUNNERS TRAINING WILL MEET FOR SIX (6) WEEKS ON THURSDAY EVENINGS (6:00-7:30 PM) AT RICHMOND'S BRYAN PARK. THE FIRST SESSION IS THURSDAY, JULY 25TH.
After introductions and a warm-up, the team will run or walk/run/walk together. The goal is to cover 1 mile the first week and then increase the distance by a 1/2 mile each week. Each evening's program will end with a cool-down, running tips from the coaches, and a recommended activity plan for the week.
BY THE END OF THE PROGRAM, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RUN OR RUN/WALK FOR 3 MILES OR 5K (5 KILOMETERS)...THE DISTANCE OF MANY POPULAR LOCAL RUNS AND RACES. RRRC and Sportsbackers has the Ashland 5K on Saturday, August 24th that is the weekend before the team ends!
