Get ready for a fun-filled day at the RSCC Sundae Run/Walk, taking place on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in the picturesque Richfield Springs, Otsego! This exciting event features two race distances to suit all levels of fitness enthusiasts: a challenging 10K that climbs hilly terrain for breathtaking views of Canadarago Lake, and a more accessible 5K that winds along rolling hills, perfect for runners and walkers alike. The 5K course is an out-and-back route on Lake Street, offering participants a scenic experience as they enjoy the beauty of the lake.
Race day promises to be a delightful experience, starting with registration and awards at the Richfield Springs Vet's Club. Runners can register from 7 AM to 8 AM on race day, and all participants will be treated to complimentary ice cream with all the toppings! Young runners aged 12 and under can join for just $10, and new this year is the option to register without a shirt to enjoy a lower registration cost. With custom-made Sundae Run trophies and pint glass awards for the top finishers in each age group, the event is sure to be a memorable celebration of community and fitness. Don’t miss out

Organiser's Description
One choice consists of a very hilly, challenging 10K. The other is a rolling hills, relatively flat 5K. The 5k is an out and back, on Lake Street (Richfield Springs NY). Runners will have a view of Canadarago Lake for part of their run. The 10K starts out on Lake Street as well but goes up hill where where runners will overlook the same lake as they work back to Lake Street. Registration and awards are at the Richfield Springs Vet's Club, 1/8 of a mile south of the light off of Main Street

We offer a teen program (The Zone) on Friday nights, Stories come alive (in collaboration with the R.S Public Library), Souper Seniors (weekly senior program that includes lunch and table top games. The facility is also available to other non-profit organizations as well as family events. For the 5K and 10K run, the top 3 winners in each age group get a beverage glass for the awards. The 10K races are part of the Route 20 road challenge, the Roman Runners' Grand Prix, and the CNY Cup Challenge ( more information given at event or if you contact the race director). The 5K,10K, or walk counts towards the Route 20 Road Challenge!!!!! -
