Join us on Saturday, October 11th, for a 5K uphill race on Buttermilk Mountainwith your furry friends, or without! Starting at the base near Buttermilk Mountain Lodge (formally known as Bumps) and climbing 1,700 feet to the Cliff House, this timed race ends with stunning views of the Maroon Bells. Prizes for top 3 female and male finishers. Also prizes for top female and male finishers in the 16 and under category. All net proceeds benefit the Aspen Animal Shelter.

Welcome to the Rubey Rescue Runa dog-friendly mountain challenge for a great cause! This 5K uphill race climbs 1,700 vertical feet along Buttermilks summer road, starting at the base near Buttermilk Mountain Lodge (formerly known as Bumps) and finishing at the iconic Cliff House with panoramic views of the Maroon Bells. Whether you're running solo or with your pup, this high-altitude adventure supports a feel-good mission with all proceeds supporting the Aspen Animal Shelter. Prizes will be awarded at the top with panoramic views of .. Race Day Details: Saturday, October 11, 2025 Pick-up packet- 7:15 am-8:00 am Race begins: 8:30 am Buttermilk Ski Area, 38700 CO-82, Aspen, CO 81611 3.1 miles, 1,700 feet of elevation gain Prizes awarded at 10:00 am on the Cliffhouse deck Water stations for both dogs and humans will be located at mile 1, mile 2.2 and at the Cliff House. Prizes for the top 3 female and male adult finishers, and first place prize for top youth (16 and under). PLEASE remember to bring your own water bottle. We will provide dog bowls at the aid stations.
