This vibrant community event invites families to participate in a 5K walk/run (3.1 miles) and a special Kids 1K for children aged 10 and under. Whether you're racing in person or opting for the virtual experience, this event promotes health and wellness while supporting Rio Del Mar Elementary School.
Join in on the fun and set a personal goal as you enjoy a day filled with camaraderie and community spirit! Participants will be greeted with refreshing Martinelli's apple juice, delicious cookies from Pacific Cookie Co, and a finisher's ribbon to commemorate your achievement. While there won't be official results this year, a timing clock will be at the finish line, and top finishers will receive gift cards from Fleet Feet. THE 2024 RUN FOR RIO 5K (3.1 MILES) WALK/RUN & KIDS 1K (MUST BE 10 & UNDER) IS A FUN COMMUNITY EVENT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY! THE EVENT WILL BE AT SEASCAPE PARK AGAIN (RAIN OR SHINE!) AND WE WILL ALSO HAVE A 'VIRTUAL' OPTION FOR THOSE THAT WOULD PREFER TO DO IT ON THEIR OWN. SIGN UP SOON & JOIN THE FUN!
THE EVENT IS A GREAT WAY TO SET A GOAL TO WORK TOWARD AND IT PROMOTES GOOD HEALTH & WELLNESS, WHILE ALSO RAISING FUNDS FOR RIO DEL MAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THIS RACE IS HOSTED BY THE RIO DEL MAR PARENT ALLIANCE IN SUPPORT OF OUR AMAZING STUDENTS AND TEACHERS! WE HOPE YOU CAN BE A PART OF THE FUN, EITHER IN-PERSON OR VIRTUALLY!
