WHY WE RUN: TO SUPPORT FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN RECEIVING CARE IN THE MEDICAL CENTER FOR A SERIOUS ILLNESS OR INJURY. WE PROVIDE A HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR THESE FAMILIES.
FOUNDED IN 1978, THE MISSION OF RMHC GREATER HOUSTON IS TO OFFER A _HOME AWAY FROM HOME_ PROVIDING CARE, COMPASSION, AND HOPE TO FAMILIES WITH SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN BEING TREATED IN TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER MEMBER INSTITUTIONS. THE HOUSE PROVIDES A PLACE TO FIND REST AND RESPITE, ACTIVITIES, MEALS, AND SNACKS FOR OUR FAMILIES, AT NO COST.
