Get ready for an exciting day of community spirit and camaraderie at the Run For Vets / Walk For Vets event on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in Delmar, Albany! Kick off the morning at 9 AM with a thrilling 5K race, followed by a leisurely 2-mile walk starting at 10:30 AM. Both events will begin and end at the American Legion Blanchard-Currey Post 1040, located at 16 W Poplar Dr, Delmar, NY 12054.
Participants are encouraged to register early by August 13th to secure a custom-sized commemorative t-shirt, with the first 300 entries guaranteed a shirt. Registration remains open through the morning of the event, and you can sign up online at RunForVets.com or in person at the Bethlehem Memorial Post. Join us for a fantastic day of fitness and fun while supporting our veterans! Remember, strollers are welcome during the walking portion, but for safety reasons, no bicycles, skates, or pets are allowed during the race. Let’s make this a memorable community event!

**** No strollers, Bicycles, Skates, or animals allowed in the race. The use of headphones during the race is strongly discouraged. This course is open and used by other walkers, runners, cyclists making it important that each participant be aware of their surroundings. This is a narrow course on the rail trail portion - especially at the beginning - participants will need to be cautious. Strollers allowed for the walking portion of the event. Thank you for helping keep this a safe and fun community event.
