Join us for the annual "Run Like the Dickens" event organized by the YMCA in Fernandina Beach, Nassau on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This family-friendly event features a one-mile fun run at Main Beach, Amelia Island starting at 8:30AM. Enjoy a pre-race warm-up session before hitting the course, which will take you along the beautiful beachfront. Awards will be presented at the Sandbar Amelia Island after the race, where you can also grab a coffee, hot chocolate, or breakfast sandwich. Don't forget to dress up in your favorite costume, as all are welcome to participate - including kids and dogs! Register before December 6th to receive an official event t-shirt and get ready for a day filled with laughter and fun.
Organiser's Description
Join us for another year of family fun at "Run Like the Dickens!" This one-mile fun run will be held at Main Beach, Amelia Island on Saturday, December 14, 2024, starting at 8:30AM.
Come early for the pre-race warm up, courtesy of the YMCA. It'll get you fired up for the fun! The course will be a simple out, round the tree, and back beach run, direction may change based on conditions. Please note that this is not a chipped race.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Sandbar Amelia Island directly following the race. The Sandbar is opening early to offer complementary coffee & hot chocolate and breakfast sandwiches for purchase from 8:30am - 9:00am. Santa will also be onsite for photo ops!
Register through Friday, December 6th until 5:00PM and receive an official Run Like the Dickens t-shirt. If you register after 12/6 or onsite, we will do our best to have a t-shirt mailed to you.
ALL ARE WELCOME - INCLUDING KIDS AND DOGS. COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED! LAUGHS ARE GUARANTEED!
