As you conquer the elevation gains and embrace the thrill of the wind, don’t miss the chance to explore the wind farm with guided tours available before and after the races. Celebrate your achievements at the finish line with delicious homemade food and refreshing beer from Iron Horse Brewery. Each runner will receive a stylish race shirt, a unique wooden finisher's medal, and a custom race bib. In an effort to minimize environmental impact, participants can opt to plant a tree through our partnership with Trees Not Tees, receiving a certificate with all the tree details. Join us for this exciting day of community, nature, and, of course, a little friendly competition!

WE ARE SOLD OUT FOR 2026!! WE WILL NOT BE OFFERING ANY IN PERSON DAY-OF REGISTRATION.
Welcome to Run Like The Wind Trail Running Festival! In collaboration with Puget Sound Energy, Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility and Run for Good Racing Company we present to you a 5K, 10K, and a free kids dash, woven along the trails, paths and roads of the majestic wind turbines outside of Ellensburg.
These races will be challenging, most likely with a bit of wind, and more certainly with a lot of elevation gain and drop and a few tough trails, but gorgeous with views of Mt. Rainier, the Columbia River and the Eastern Washington plains.
Get a guided tour of the wind farm either before or after your race and see the awesome power of the wind.
Beer courtesy of Iron Horse Brewery, and great, homemade food await you at the finish line.
Space is limited to 200 participants so sign up now and get your wind on!

Everyone will receive a race shirt, sweet finisher's wooden medal, and custom race bib. But, in order to lessen our environmental impact, were partnering with Trees Not Tees to offer you the option of planting a tree instead of receiving our event swag. Youll receive a certificate from Trees Not Tees that includes a picture of your tree, details of the species, and a unique geo-location address so you can even go and visit.
