Join us for an exciting summer challenge at the "Run the Nation" event, taking place from May 1st to August 31st, 2025, in the beautiful surroundings of Litchfield, Sherman. This unique initiative encourages participants to log a total of 25 miles through walking, running, or a combination of both over the four months. Whether you prefer to tackle the miles solo or team up with a friend, the choice is yours, and you can complete your distances at your own pace and location.
This year, every mile you log will contribute to a great cause, as participants will pledge their miles to support the Community Food Pantry, organized by the Spartan Foundation. For every 100 miles logged, $100 will be donated to this vital program, which provides essential food resources to our community through a monthly food bank and the Weekend Backpack Program. So lace up your shoes, embrace the spirit of Spartan Nation, and let’s make a positive impact together while having fun running and walking this summer!

The Spartan Foundation supports everything SPARTAN. We truly believe it takes a village and, in our case, it takes several. We call this group of Spartan supporting villages: Spartan Nation. Spartan Nation spans nearly 25 miles. In an effort to keep Spartan Nation happy, healthy, and on the move; we are challenging you to Run the Nation this summer! Run the Nation participants will be required to log 25 miles of walking, running or both in each of the months of May, June, July, and August. These miles can be done on your own or with a friend. They can be done on your own time. You can run or walk anywhere you would like. Just log your miles on your Run the Nation log sheet. THIS YEAR PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PLEDGING THEIR MILES TO THE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY. 100 MILES = $100 TO OUR PROGRAM. THE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY IS ORGANIZED BY THE SPARTAN FOUNDATION. IT SERVES OUR COMMUNITES THROUGH A MONTHLY FOOD BANK AND THE WEEKEND BACKPACK PROGRAM.
