Participants will have the opportunity to run or walk a scenic 5K course while supporting the Kentucky State Police Foundation, which has generously provided over $450,000 in funding for essential equipment, training, and wellness initiatives for our local heroes.
Registration for this inspiring event is just $30 until August 1, 2025, increasing to $35 thereafter. Don’t miss your chance to secure a special race t-shirt by registering early! If you can’t make it to Frankfort, you can still join in the spirit of the event with our virtual option, allowing you to participate from anywhere in the world at your own pace. All participants will receive a finisher's medal, and awards will be given to the top finishers in various age categories. JOIN US FOR A RUN UNDER THE STARS AT THE KENTUCKY STATE POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2025, AT 7:30 PM.
The Run to Remember is a 5k fundraiser that pays tribute to the Kentucky State Police's fallen units, who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The Kentucky State Police Foundation supports the professional men and women of the Kentucky State Police by funding employee training, specialized equipment, employee support and more. Since its inception, the Kentucky State Police Foundation has provided KSP with over $450,000 to support unfunded needs, including marketing funds for recruiting new troopers, providing ballistic harnesses for the K-9 branch, employee wellness initiatives, and more. This 5K event ensures the Foundation can continue to support our local heroes.
PACKET PICKUP
Race Day packet pickup will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on the night of the event at the KSP Training Academy.
REGISTRATION
Registration is $30 through August 1, 2025, and will increase to $35 from August 2, 2025, through race day. All runners registering before August 6, 2025, will receive a special race t-shirt. _Due to printing deadlines, t-shirts will not be available to runners after the deadline._
Online registration will remain open until the start time of the event. Registering on your phone is quick and easy. Cash registrations will also be taken on race day.
CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE IN-PERSON EVENT? NO PROBLEM! FOR 2025, WE HAVE ADDED A "VIRTUAL" OPTION. PARTICIPATE FROM ANYWHERE WORLDWIDE BY RUNNING OR WALKING YOUR 5K AT YOUR OWN PACE AND LOCATION. 35.00 WILL COVER THE ENTRY FEE AND SHIPPING OF YOUR SHIRT, RACE BIB, AND MEDAL.
AWARDS
ALL RUNNERS WILL RECEIVE A FINISHER'S MEDAL.
The top Three Male & Female finishers will receive special awards. Awards will also be given to the Top Male & Female finishers in the following age categories: Under 13, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and Over 60.
TIMING
Commonwealth Race Timing will be providing chip timing for this event. The overall awards are determined by gun time, and all age group awards are by chip timing.
