Get ready for a day of fun and fitness at the 28th Annual Run/Walk for the Greenway 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in beautiful Salisbury, North Carolina! This exciting event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, featuring a scenic 5K course that showcases the stunning surroundings of Rowan County. The 5K race kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by the Half-Mile Fun Run at 8:45 AM, making it the perfect outing for families and friends looking to enjoy a healthy and active day together.
Participants can expect a mostly flat course designed for record-breaking performances, with awards for the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K, as well as age group awards! All pre-registered runners will receive a stylish Dry Fit T-shirt, while cotton T-shirts will be provided to Fun Run participants. Don’t forget to bring along some canned goods or old running shoes to support Rowan Helping Ministries and enter for a chance to win $50 in Downtown Salisbury Dollars! Join us for a fantastic community event filled with enthusiasm, camaraderie, and a commitment to a healthier lifestyle!

28TH ANNUAL RUN/WALK FOR THE GREENWAY 5K & HALF-MILE FUN RUN
1825 PARK ROAD WEST, SALISBURY, NC 28144 - Take I-85 to Salisbury Exit #76 toward downtown. Follow Innes Street straight through town to Mahaley Ave (approx 2.5 miles). Turn right on Mahaley Avenue, then go 0.4 miles to E. Park Rd. Turn left on E. Park Rd. Go 2 blocks, and Overton will be on the left.

RACE COURSE (SEE COURSE MAP BELOW):
* HALF MILE FUN RUN: Will be an out and back on the greenway.
* 5K COURSE: The course starts at Overton at approximately 1900 West Park Drive. The start is at the second driveway to the school, the one nearest the baseball field. Runners will go southwest on West Park to a turnaround which is at approximately 1635 West Park Rd, then runners will come back toward the school and then turn right at Hickory Drive, left on E. Park Road, right on W. Park Road, enter Greenway, along the Greenway to Prescott Drive, turn left on Prescott, turn right on Knollwood, turn left on Courtland Drive, turn left on Wake, turn right back onto Prescott. Proceed to end of Prescott, turn around at cul-de-sac and proceed back straight on Prescott and turn right on the Greenway back toward Overton. Turn left on E. Park Road, left on Hickory Drive then continue straight across West Park to the finish line beside the nearest pole on the breezeway at Overton.
