Get ready to kick off your Independence Day celebrations with an exhilarating event at the RUN WHITE and BOOM in Bement, Piatt on Friday, July 4th, 2025! This exciting day features a 1-mile FUN Run/Walk and a spirited 5K race, perfect for participants of all ages and fitness levels. The 5K will be officially timed by the Decatur Running Club, with awards presented to the top three finishers in each male and female age group, making it a competitive and thrilling experience.
Both routes will start and end at the scenic Piatt County Forest Preserve, with the awards ceremony for the 5K kicking off at 9 AM. Participants can enjoy refreshments such as snacks, water, and Gatorade post-race, and there will even be a water stop along the 5K course! To add to the festive atmosphere, we encourage everyone to dress in patriotic colors. Don’t forget to pick up your race shirt on the morning of the event—just be sure to register by June 13th to secure your shirt. Join us for a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit as we celebrate the Fourth of July together!

Start Independence Day off with a BANG and join us for a 1-mile FUN Run/Walk or a fun 5K, then stay for all the celebration activities throughout the day including a parade!
The 5K will be officially timed by the Decatur Running Club and awards will be given to the first 3 finishers in each age group of male and female.
The 1-mile FUN Run/Walk will not be timed.
