Get ready for an inspiring day of community and camaraderie at the 3rd Annual Run White & Blue 5K & 10K on Saturday, July 25, 2026! This uplifting event will take place at Coldstream Park in North Lexington, Fayette, starting at 8:00 AM. Participants can choose from a fast and flat 5K run/walk, a chip-timed 10K run, or a new 2-mile ruck/walk, making it perfect for all fitness levels and ages. This year, in honor of CPT. Alan Kurre Elliott, who tragically lost his life while preparing for a special mission, the race will also feature a special tribute that encourages participants to complete the 2-mile distance carrying a rucksack.
Join us for a day filled with fun, food, and music, all while supporting a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event will fund the CPT. Alan Kurre Elliott Memorial Student Award for deserving undergraduate students in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Kentucky. With commemorative T-shirts, awards for the top finishers, and free race photos, this event promises not just a race, but a heartfelt celebration of life, legacy, and community spirit.

We race to make a difference and honor a life well lived. The CPT. ALAN KURRE ELLIOTT MEMORIAL RUN is more than just a race; it is a tribute to a remarkable person, and an opportunity to give back. All proceeds will fund the CPT. Alan Kurre Elliott Memorial Student Award for undergraduate students in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Kentucky who embody Alans outstanding character. (Read more below)

PACKET PICKUP Our PPU plans will be announced closer to the race date. We will definitely have race morning packet pickup at Coldstream Park from 6:45-8am.

The 10K ROUTE will just do the 5K out and back route twice. There will be a turnaround just in front of the 5K finish line with a water station at that point. 10K participants will turn at that point and run the same 5K course a 2nd time.
NEW FOR 2026 --- WE'VE ADDED A 2 MILE WALK/RUCK
CPT Elliott set off on Sunday, July 30, 2023, intending to complete a ruck march in preparation for an upcoming tryout with Special Mission Unit. Two miles into his run/ruck, he has hit and killed in a hit-and-run. This year, we will be changing Run, White, & Blues 1-mile fun run/walk to 2 miles in tribute and encourage all who would like to honor Alan and other service members lost in the line of duty to complete the 2 miles carrying a rucksack.

If you can't make our race in-person consider supporting this cause by participating virtually. For a $30 donation we'll ship you your commemorative race T-shirt and you can run/walk your Run White & Blue 5K in your hometown on your own schedule. There are no awards for the virtual event but you can (optional) log your results or completion of your 5K on the race website. -

Great race and great crowd! My first official 5K, very well put together, awesome ceremony prior and after race. Good for racers, family, anyone just wanting to get outside and support a good cause. Plenty of water and after run drinks/healthy snacks provided, which I appreciated.
