Organiser's Description
Together we move toward awareness, hope, and a future without Alzheimers.
On April 22, join the movement to support the millions of individuals and families affected by Alzheimers disease. Alzheimers is a progressive condition that impacts memory, communication, and daily life, often placing emotional and physical challenges on loved ones. Participating in the Run for Alzheimers Virtual Race is a way to honor those living with the disease, celebrate caregivers, and raise awareness for the ongoing search for treatment and prevention.
Physical activityespecially walking or runninghas been shown to improve brain health and support overall emotional well-being. Studies highlight that consistent aerobic exercise may help reduce stress and increase cognitive resilience, offering hope in the effort to slow cognitive decline (Smith). Communities around the world host walks and runs each year to recognize the strength of those affected and to bring people together in support, remembrance, and advocacy. Whether you run for a loved one, a friend, or the cause itself, your participation becomes part of a global effort. Run, walk, or cycle anywhere, anytime. Every step matters.
