Running La Vida Loca 5K Run/Walk & Virtual Option

Cafecito Caliente will once again kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, just a little early this year. Join us for the 3rd Annual Running La Vida Loca 5k and the final leg to our Running La Vida Loca Race Series Sunday, September 10, 2023. With our usual great looking shirt that you will wear year-round, and a customized medal, why not run the La Vida Loca with us!
Race Swag - Each registration receives a customized medal, shirt with the fascinating "Calavera/Skull" design, and ice cream from the Arctic Corner!
Course - This year the Running La Vida Loca 5k will be held in Old Town in Lansing, Michigan. With registration at the Arctic Corner, take a hop, skip and jump over to "The Grid" and that is where the 5k will start and finish. Start line will setup right next to The Grid as you head south and pass by the Brenke Fishing Ladder and head onto the River Trail. 
Packet Pickup -  Arctic Corner Ice Cream Shop located at 314 E. Cesar E. Chavez Ave. Lansing, Michigan 48906 located in Lansing's Old Town District.  Stop in Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 4pm to 7:00pm as well as on the day of the race starting at 8:00 am.
In the United States we recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States beginning September 15th through October 15th. Cafecito Caliente has been hosting events since 2010 and we look forward to Running La Vida Loca!
Cost: We are going to keep the fee at $30 with no increase. 
Awards: Age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Playmakers gift certificates will be awarded to the top three places in each age group and also for overall male & female winner.
The race will be timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live right after the race and posted on this website.
