Run first, mascot breakfast after! The FREE Youth Fun Run takes place on Saturday, February 21st at 9:00 am from Rick Marcotte Central School [https://central.sbschools.net/]. The course is out-and-back along Market Street in South Burlingtons City Center, with 1/2 -mile and 1-mile options. After the run, kids can warm up inside the school and hang out with Vermonts biggest mascot celebrities at the FREE Mascot Breakfast [https://secure.rec1.com/VT/south-burlington-vt-recreation-parks/catalog?filter=c2VhcmNoPTQwNzg2OTI=], put on by South Burlington Recreation and Parks [https://www.southburlingtonvt.gov/160/Recreation-Parks]. There will be arts & crafts, games, and photo ops with the mascots. Registration for the Mascot Breakfast is a separate event, therefore, there is a separate registration to participate. SPACE IS HIGHLY LIMITED FOR THE MASCOT BREAKFAST.

Registration (online or in person) for the Fun Run is required, check-in starts at 8:30 AM, and the Fun Run (both distances) begins promptly at 9:00 AM. PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUPPORT THEIR YOUTH RUNNER, BUT ONLY THE RUNNER NEEDS TO REGISTER.

Course Info: The course is an out-and-back with a 1/2 mile and 1 mile option on paved and groomed sidewalks. Participants will be within view of a course monitor for the entirety of the run. Start and Finish is at the main entrance of the Rick Marcotte Central School. Parents/guardians may accompany a participant but must start from the back of the pack.

We require a minimum of 25 children registered in order to have the event. Vermont's weather can be highly variable. In order to provide a safe experience, this event is subject to cancellation.
