Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Runway 5K, taking place on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at the Gastonia Municipal Airport in Gastonia, NC! This exciting event supports the Gaston County Sheriff's Office Cadet Program and promises a fun-filled day for runners of all ages. The certified 5K course starts and finishes on the runway, offering a unique experience you won't want to miss.
Participants can register for just $30, which includes a race shirt, or $25 if you prefer to go shirtless and save a few bucks! Every runner will receive a finisher medal, with awards for the top overall male and female finishers, as well as age group awards for the top three in categories ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over. Make sure to arrive bright and early for the 7:30 AM sharp start, as the course has a one-hour time limit due to runway closure. Don't forget, packet pickup will be available on Friday, September 12th, from 7 AM to 6 PM at the same location. Join us for a memorable day of community spirit and fitness!
