This exciting event offers a mix of trail and paved road courses, perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Whether you're tackling the 5K, 10K, or Kids Mile, there's something for everyone, including our furry friends dogs are welcome but must be leashed. Age based pricing for ages 10-17 (under 10 not recommended) . Kick back after the race and enjoy life on the ranch. Fun, family friendly festival area that will have food for purchase. Special musical guests The Soda Crackers. Beer and Whisky provided for purchase by Rod & Hammer SLO Stills. Race Day Logistics: All runners must be checked in by 9:30 am on September 1st. Thousand Hills Ranch Gate opens at 8:00 am. Road will close to thru traffic once the 5K/10K race starts and will open once the race ends Special Awards: The top 17 overall finishers will receive a special award. The first overall female and male finishers will be awarded a finisher trophy. Every registered participant will receive a "saddle bag" filled with running goodies from our generous sponsors. Your saddle bag will include: 17 Strong socks for the first 250 people registered! 1 raffle ticket 1 beverage ticket of choice (Beer, Wine, Seltzer, Soda) provided by SLO Brew and Rod & Hammer SLO Stills Come for the run, stay for the fun! Kids Race: Chase the Steer! Let your little ones experience the thrill of racing as they chase the 'steer' for 1 mile around the ranch. Each race finisher will win an otter pop and all kids will receive a free hot dog meal with their race entry. The Kids Mile is open to 8th grade and under. Strollers are allowed. Please note that all racers must be registered for the mile race and complete the mile in under 20 minutes. Race Day Logistics: All Kids Mile runners must be checked in by 9:00 am on September 1st.
