San Fernando Valley Mile

The City of San Fernando invites you to run or walk your best mile in the in the San Fernando Valley Mile race!


This one-mile challenge takes place in the heart of San Fernando. The race starts at 8th Street and Maclay Ave, and youll race down the iconic Maclay Avenue, finishing just before 3rd Street.


Pick your race:

For all ages who want to compete and perfect their mile time

7:30am Elite Run Heat 1- For runners who can complete a mile in under 6 minutes

7:45am Open Sub Elite Perfect Mile Run Heat 2- For runners who can complete a mile in under 8 minutes

8:00am Open Perfect Mile Run Heat 3- For runners who can complete a mile in under 12 minutes

8:20am Open Perfect Mile Run Heat 4- For runners who can complete a mile in under 16 minutes

8:40am Youth Mile Championship - 17 & under

9:00am Open Perfect Mile Heat 5- Family Walk/Run, A fun timed, but non-competitive, event for the whole family

9:30am Quarter Mile. - 8 & Under - Parents can run/walk with their children if they start in the back of the pack.

9:45am 100 Meter Dash - 4 & Under - Parents can run/walk with their children if they start in the back of the pack.

Everyone who registers and completes the course will receive a finisher medal & a race t-shirt.
