San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run

The 14TH ANNUAL SAN JACINTO TEXAS INDEPENDENCE FUN RUN will take place on SATURDAY, MARCH 1, 2025, beginning at 7:00 AM. Join us to "RUN THE BATTLEFIELD!" and experience the historic grounds where Texas won its independence.

Participants can choose from a 10K RUN, 5K RUN, 5K WALK, OR A 1K KIDS RUN. The CERTIFIED COURSE WILL BE CHIP-TIMED FOR THE 10K AND 5K EVENTS. The top three male and female finishers in each running category will be recognized after the race.

RACE START TIMES
10K: 7:30 a.m.
5K Run: 7:40 a.m.
5K Walk: 7:45 a.m.
1K Kids Run: 8:15 a.m.

REGISTRATION
ADVANCE REGISTRATION FEES (BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2025) ARE:
$30 - 10K
$25 - 5K Walk/Run
$20 - 1K Kids

REGISTRATION FEES FROM FEB. 1 TO RACE DAY ARE:
$35 - 10K
$30 - 5K Walk/Run
$25 - 1K Kids

VIRTUAL 5K / 10K (shipping costs included):
10K $40 / 5K $35 / 1K Kids $30 (before January 31, 2025)
10K $45 / 5K $40 / 1K Kids $35 (after February 1, 2025)

Can't make it to the event? No problem! Participants who choose this option will be able to pick up their run bib, shirt, and commemorative finisher medal during packet pick-up or have it shipped directly to you (you get to choose either option during registration.)

If you require shipping, please note that standard shipping is included in your registration cost. We will ship it to your address during the week leading up to March 1.

PACKET PICK-UP
Packet pickup dates/times are listed below.

LOCATION: San Jacinto Museum and Battlefield, 1 Monument Circle, La Porte, TX 77571 (Packet pick-up located inside the Monument. Use the entrance facing the reflection pool).

DATES & TIMES:
Thursday, Feb. 27 12 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 28 12 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

While there will be event day packet pickup, we strongly encourage participants to plan an early arrival to find parking and wait in any potential lines there may be to receive your packet. Packet Pick-Up on event day will conclude promptly at event start (7:30 a.m.)

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE 5K/10K?
All ages can participate in the 5K/10K events, with ages 2 and under free to accompany a family member. Strollers and walkers are also welcome, we just ask that you start in the back of the corral at event start to allow runners ahead.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE 1K KIDS FUN RUN?
1K Kids Fun Run is limited to children 12 and under. One parent or guardian may escort the child along the route, but it is not required. Strollers are allowed. Older children will be put in the front, and strollers are to be in the back. We ask if you are pushing a stroller, be cautious of other children around you as you pass them.
