This lively event features a scenic 5K that winds through charming neighborhood streets, the picturesque Middlebranch Trail, and the serene grounds of the Sancta Clara Monastery, all while being cheered on by enthusiastic nuns. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a delightful day outdoors, this event welcomes everyone, including strollers and families with kids. The day kicks off with a free 100-yard Kids Fun Run at 8:40 AM, followed by the main 5K run/walk starting at 9:00 AM.
After the race, join us for an uplifting awards ceremony at St. George's reception hall, where all finishers will receive a unique running nun medal, and trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female participants as well as the top finishers across various age groups. All proceeds from this heartwarming event will go towards supporting the renovations of the Sancta Clara Monastery, making it a meaningful opportunity to give back while enjoying a fun-filled day. COME JOIN THE 7TH ANNUAL SANCTA CLARA NUN RUN! OCTOBER 17, 2026
The 5K will run through the neighboring streets, the Middlebranch trail and finally through the monastery grounds with many cheering nuns!
The awards ceremony with refreshments and food will follow at St. George's reception hall.
We have a shirt only option for those who cannot run or walk the course but still would like to support the Poor Clares sisters.
Strollers are welcome and a free kids fun run starts at 8:40 followed by the 5K at 9:00.
All proceeds will benefit The Sancta Clara Monastery & it's renovations. Donations can be made by going to www.poorclares.org [https://www.poorclares.org].
