Get ready for an exhilarating day of running at the Sandhills Running "Sasquatch Challenge" on Saturday, October 25, 2025! Set against the beautiful backdrop of Aberdeen Lake in Aberdeen, NC, this unique event invites participants to tackle as many 1-mile loops as they can within a thrilling 4-hour timeframe. The well-maintained and well-marked trail provides the perfect setting for runners of all levels to push their limits, whether they choose to run, walk, or take breaks as needed.
The fun kicks off at 8 AM, but don’t forget to pick up your race packet the night before at Rail House Brewery from 6-8 PM or on race day from 6:30-7:30 AM. With an aid station stocked with water, Gatorade, and snacks, you’ll have all the support you need to keep going. Plus, feel free to set up your personal tents and aid stations around the start/finish area for a truly customized experience. Prizes await the top male and female finishers, and every participant will leave with an official race T-shirt and a finishing medal. Make sure to register by October 12, 2025, to guarantee your T-shirt

The Sandhills Sasquatch is a 1-MILE LOOP AROUND ABERDEEN LAKE, IN ABERDEEN, NC. The route is a scenic well maintained and well-marked trail. THE RACE IS SIMPLE, COMPLETE AS MANY 1-MILE LOOPS AS YOU CAN!
The event will begin at 8AM SATURDAY OCTOBER 25, 2025.
PACKET PICKUP will be the Night prior, Friday Oct 24, from 6-8 PM at Rail House Brewery in Aberdeen NC. Same day packet pickup will be available Oct 25, from 6:30am-7:30am.
THIS IS A SELF-PACED EVENT. Run as many miles as you can in the prescribed time or until you decide to stop. The runner that covers the most distance in the prescribed time is declared the winner. Runners are allowed to run, walk, and rest as needed for the duration of the event. Laps will be recorded by the race organizers. The event organizer will have an aid station set up at the start finish line with water, Gatorade, and snacks. Participants can set up personal tents, tables, and aid stations in the park area by the start finish.
THERE WILL BE PRIZES FOR THE TOP MALE AND FEMALE.
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE AN OFFICIAL RACE T-SHIRT AND FINISHING MEDAL. T-SHIRTS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED FOR REGISTRATIONS AFTER OCTOBER 12, 2025.
