Get ready for a spooktacular day of fun at the 8th Annual Scary Scurry Kids Fun Run & 5K on Saturday, October 11th, 2025! This exciting event will take place at the picturesque Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and promises a fantastic day for families and friends. Participants can choose from a challenging 5K race starting at 8:30 AM or a delightful Kids Fun Run, featuring a 1-mile race for children 12 and under at 9:30 AM and a 1/2-mile race for kids 7 and under at 9:45 AM.
Join in the festivities benefiting the Fond du Lac County United Way and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Fond du Lac Festivals Falltoberfest. There will be plenty of family-friendly activities, snacks, and beverages following the races. Every child participating in the fun run will receive a finisher's medal, while the top male and female finishers in the 5K will be recognized with awards across various age categories. FVSBank, Mercury Marine, and Hoppers are excited to announce the 8th Annual Scary Scurry Kids Fun Run & 5k at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 11th, 2025. This family-friendly event, benefitting the Fond du Lac County United Way, encourages all participants to stay and enjoy the day and enjoy Fond du Lac Festivals Falltoberfest.
Bring your families and register your children for the 1/2 mile or 1 mile. There will be LOTS of fun family-friendly and kid activities during the Fond du Lac Festivals Falltoberfest.
Event Details: The 5k begins at 8:30am Kids Fun Run begins at 9:30 am for the 1 mile fun run (12 and under) and 9:45 am for the 1/2 mile fun run (7 and under). There will be snacks and beverages immediately following the race, and awards for top runners (by age, gender, and overall). The entire course is paved - Strollers are encouraged! Please, no pets.
Online registration will close on 10/9 at 11:59pm. In-person registration will take place during bib pick up on Friday, October 10 and on race morning, Saturday, October 11. See location and times below. If you would like an event t-shirt you must register before October 2. There will be no t-shirts available after October 2 or on race day.
Registration Bib Pickup: Registration bags will be available for pickup the evening before and morning of the race. Please have proof of registration available at pickup.

Awards: All participants in the kids fun run will receive a finisher's medal. The top male and top female finisher in the 5k will receive an award as well as the top male and top female in each age group (0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+).
