Get ready for an exciting running experience at the Scholars Run, taking place from July 7th to July 27th, 2025, in the beautiful Maryville, Blount area! Join fellow runners on July 26th for a fun-filled day of fitness and community spirit. The event features a competitive 5K run starting at 8:00 a.m., followed by a family-friendly 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 8:45 a.m. This race is part of the 2025 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running, which includes three thrilling events throughout the year. Participants in all three 5K races are eligible for exciting cash awards and fantastic door prizes, making this an event you won’t want to miss!
The Scholars Run will be staged at the Cooper Athletic Center on the Maryville College campus, with the scenic 5K course winding through the charming city streets of Maryville. Don’t forget to pick up your race packet on July 24th at Dick's Sporting Goods, and be sure to register early to guarantee your shirt size! All participants will receive a high-quality t-shirt and a chance to win awards in various age divisions, including top finishers in the overall and Masters categories.

2ND EVENT OF THE 2025 HEALTHY BLOUNT TRIPLE CROWN OF RUNNING. 1ST EVENT - SPRING SPRINT, APRIL 12TH. 3RD EVENT - REINDEER RUN, DECEMBER 7. THOSE PARTICIPATING IN ALL THREE 5K EVENTS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR TRIPLE CROWN CASH AWARDS, DOOR PRIZES AND A SPECIAL MEMENTO. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL THREE EVENTS, YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE AT WINNING THE GREAT TRIPLE CROWN DOOR PRIZES WORTH A MINIMUM OF $50 EACH IF YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE REINDEER RUN AND AT LEAST ONE OF THE OTHER TWO TRIPLE CROWN EVENTS. CHECK-IN: 6:45-7:30 A.M. THE DAY OF RACE
THE COURSE: 5K Course includes area city streets. The 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run is situated entirely on the Maryville College campus.

T-SHIRTS: All participants will receive an attractive, high-quality short sleeved unisex shirt! Shirt size guaranteed to those who pre-register. Anyone registering the day of event will receive a shirt while supplies last.
AWARDS/PRIZES: WE WILL STAGE AN AWARDS CEREMONY ON SITE AFTER THE EVENT. Any award not claimed will be available at the Parks and Rec Office located at 316 South Everett High Road Maryville, TN 37804 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and to the top male/female overall and Masters winners in the 5K. All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a participation gift. AGE DIVISIONS: Male and Female: 8 and under, 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over. Male and Female Masters: Male and Female (40 and older)
GENERAL INFORMATION: No bicycles, roller blades or dogs are allowed on the course or to be used by any participant during the race. The use of headsets is not recommended due to traffic on race route.
REFRESHMENTS: post race refreshments will be available immediately following the race for all registered participants.
