Keep in mind that early packet pickup will take place on July 3rd from 5 to 7 PM at Schoolcraft Community Schools, and race day registration starts at 7 AM on July 4th. DUE TO THE EXTENSIVE CONSTRUCTION ON US-131 THROUGH SCHOOLCRAFT, THE SCHOOLCRAFT ATHLETIC BOOSTERS IS CANCELING THE FIRECRACKER 5 EVENT FOR 2024. THE DETOUR TRAFFIC AROUND THE SCHOOLCRAFT AREA PRESENTS A POTENTIAL HAZARD FOR RUNNERS AND WALKERS. THE 5 MILE COURSE IS PART OF THE DETOUR ROUTE THAT MANY DRIVERS USE TO CIRCUMVENT THE CONSTRUCTION. THE ATHLETIC BOOSTERS REGRETS CANCELING BUT KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE IS THE #1 IMPORTANCE FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED. PLEASE KEEP US IN MIND FOR 2025 AND PARTICIPATING IN THE FIRECRACKER 5 EVENT.
