Join the excitement at the Sea Rim Striders FREE Summer Run/Walk Series #9, taking place on Monday, July 28, 2025, in the beautiful Port Arthur, Jefferson! This vibrant community event welcomes participants of all ages for a fun-filled evening of health and camaraderie with a 5K Run/Walk along the scenic seawall. The mass start kicks off at 7 PM, so come early to pick up your wristbands and explore the sponsor tables, showcasing local businesses dedicated to supporting the community.
While this event is free and open to the public, each participant must pre-register and sign a waiver to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Please note that there will be no event shirts, timing, or medals, but every registrant will receive a wristband. With adequate water stops along the course and trained EMS personnel on standby, participants can focus on enjoying their run or walk. Remember to wear appropriate footwear, sun protection, and stay hydrated! Strollers are discouraged, and pets are not allowed—service animals are welcome. Gather your friends and family for an unforgettable summer evening filled with fitness, fun, and community spirit!

FREE and open to the Public 5K Run/Walk!
WAIVER MUST BE SIGNED via pre-registration signup, for EACH participant who will be on course, no matter the age. *spectators do not need to sign a waiver*
7pm mass start: Arrive early to pick up your wristbands, and visit the Sponsor tables!
* No event shirts, timing, finisher/awards medals or race bibs for coming to these free events
* All registrants will receive a wristband and must wear it for the duration of the event, while you are at race site.
* Not all of the Summer locations are shut down for our event. Be cautious and alert for motorists, and other runners/walkers/bicyclists not involved in our event.
* Wear proper shoes and sun protection
* Adequate water stops on course!
* No pets at our events - service animals welcome
* EMS/trained individuals will be on standby at all of our events. Let us know ASAP if you are not feeling well, or need basic 1st aid.
* Keep up with the latest information on each week's Facebook Event. This is where all updates regarding the event, are posted.
* Strollers are highly discouraged, as it is extra liability, per RRCA guidelines for safe running. * Kids on foot or in stroller only. NO BIKES, SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, SCOOTERS OR ANY OTHER TOY ROLLING DEVICES on course.
* Be sure you receive the email confirmation from signing up. You should receive an automatic email within 5 minutes.
* Keep to the RIGHT side of the course, unless you are passing someone
* The use of headphones/earphones is unsafe, and Sea Rim Striders actively discourages their use. Runners need to stay alert at all times, especially on courses that are not closed down to the public.
* If you'd like to become a SEA RIMS STRIDER Member, sign up via online. Online signups will be available online every day during Summer Series.
