Get ready for a sweet and spirited day at Sherwood Memorial Park's Run for Donuts 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Salem, Virginia! This exciting event, now in its 9th year, promises fun for the entire family while supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Virginia, which provides essential support to families of seriously ill children. Participants can choose to run the 5K or join the Fun Run, and everyone will be treated to delicious donuts at the finish line—because who doesn't love donuts?
Don't miss out on the chance to showcase your creativity in the Costume Contest, where you can sport your favorite sprinkle colors or donut-themed outfits. All runners will receive a stylish knit beanie hat and a finisher medal for the 5K, while Fun Run participants will also receive a beanie (available on a first-come, first-served basis for registrations after September 30). Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as in each age category for the 5K. Lace up your running shoes and join us for a day of community, camaraderie, and of course, donuts!

This year will be benefiting the RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA which provides an environment of love, community, and hope to families of seriously ill children. RMHC-SWVA programs give a family with a sick child what they need most each other.
We will utilize the paths within Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.
WHO DOESN'T LOVE DONUTS?!?
All participants will get to enjoy a yummy Donut to munch on at the finish line. Eating donuts is not required, however, it will be A LOT of fun if you do!
