Join us for the 5th Annual Sickle Cell Warrior Walk & Run 5K on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Hartman Park in Nashville, Davidson! This uplifting, family-friendly event aims to raise awareness about sickle cell disease, a painful genetic blood disorder that significantly affects minority populations but can impact anyone. The day will kick off with the 5K race starting at 9 AM, followed by a 1 Mile fun run at 9:05 AM, allowing participants of all ages to engage and support a vital cause.
Not only will you have the chance to run or walk for a meaningful purpose, but you can also enjoy a vibrant post-race celebration featuring refreshments, awards, and camaraderie. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers, as well as to participants in various age group categories. By joining us, you’re contributing to the mission of increasing community awareness and encouraging individuals to learn their sickle cell trait status. Breaking The Sickle Cell Cycle Foundation, Inc. cordially invites you to the 5th Annual Sickle Cell Warrior Walk/Run 5K! The Sickle Cell Warrior Walk/Run 5K is an inspiring, family-friendly event to unite the Nashville community and surrounding areas in bringing awareness to sickle cell disease and to create long-lasting relationships to help support members of the sickle cell community. Sickle cell disease is a painful genetic blood disorder that is known to disproportionately impact minority populations, but any person can have sickle cell disease or carry the trait that is responsible for causing the disease. The goal of this event is to increase community awareness of sickle cell disease and encourage people to learn their sickle cell trait status, use the information to make informed healthcare and family planning decisions.
The race will be held on SEPTEMBER 20, 2025 at the beautiful Hartman Park. 5K participants will begin the race at 9 AM, followed by the 1 Mile at 9:05 AM.
All participants must complete the course by 10:00 AM.
Hang out and celebrate with us at the Post Race party where we'll have refreshments while we cheer and then our awards ceremony at 10:15 AM
Commemorative race medal & T-shirt are available for paid registrants who sign up by August 6th, 2025.
