This uplifting event, starting at 8:45 a.m. at Overton Elementary School, invites participants to run or walk for a worthy cause while enjoying the scenic Salisbury Greenway. The 5K race will raise vital funds to support local families in crisis, aiding those affected by cancer, heart disease, and domestic violence. Every step taken and dollar raised will directly contribute to providing food, clothing, and essential support for those in need.
Participants can register for just $25 until August 31, or $30 on race day, with discounted rates for youth. In addition to the invigorating race experience, all runners will receive a stylish Dry Fit T-shirt, a water bottle, a commemorative medal, and refreshments. The event also features a fun run for younger participants (ages 10 & under) at just $15, ensuring everyone can be part of this impactful day. 2ND ANNUAL SISTER IN THE FIGHT WALK/RUN 5K, presented by Sister in the Fight, Inc. Nonprofit Organization! All 5K proceeds will directly impact local families in crisis. Every step you take and every dollar raised will help us provide food, clothing, household essentials, emergency support, and help supplement the cost of medication for those battling cancer and heart disease.
This 5K offers an experience of the Salisbury Greenway, where participants can enjoy nature at its best while running or walking for a great cause. Together, we can ensure that no woman or child faces their vulnerable moments alone. EVERY STEP MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
All runners will receive a race shirt, water bottle, commemorative race medal, and refreshments!
WHEN: Saturday, September 26 at 8:45 a.m. (5K) and 9:45 a.m. (Fun Run)

PROCEEDS: All 5K proceeds will impact the lives of women, children, and families in need as well as help promote community awareness and education through the following ministries:
* Breast Cancer Support through treatment, recovery, and medication assistance.
* Heart Disease Prevention through education, awareness, and medication assistance for heart health
* Domestic Violence Recovery helping survivors rebuild their lives
* Youth Support supporting children affected by gun violence
