Join us on Saturday, April 18, 2026, for the Sisters Network® Inc. 16th Annual Stop the Silence 5K Walk/Run in Houston, Harris County, Texas! This inspiring event, which first launched in April 2010, is the only national breast cancer walk organized by and for Black women, and it shines a light on the importance of breast cancer awareness during National Minority Health Awareness Month.
Over the past 15 years, more than 4,000 participants from across the United States have gathered in Houston to honor and celebrate Black women diagnosed with breast cancer. This year, your participation will not only promote health and solidarity but will also support the Sisters Network Inc. Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP), which provides crucial financial assistance and 3D mammograms for uninsured women. Lace up your running shoes and be part of this meaningful event that combines community, awareness, and hope!

FIRST LAUNCHED IN APRIL 2010, THE SISTERS NETWORK INC. STOP THE SILENCE NATIONAL AFRICAN AMERICAN BREAST CANCER 5K WALK/RUN IS THE FIRST AND ONLY NATIONAL BREAST CANCER WALK HOSTED BY A BLACK-LED ORGANIZATION FOR BLACK WOMEN. THE WALK IS HOSTED IN APRIL TO DRAW ATTENTION TO NATIONAL MINORITY HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH.
