This year's event features a fun and inclusive **PHun Walk** that will take participants on a scenic route just shy of one mile, beginning and ending at the beloved LuLu's. While the traditional 5K has transformed into this exciting new format, the heart of Skippin & Sippin remains unchanged. The morning schedule includes check-in, a warm-up session, a special patient/survivor walk, and a toast to celebrate resilience. Afterward, enjoy a lively post-walk party, complete with lunch and awards that recognize the incredible support of our participants. Proudly partnered with LULU'S GULF SHORES and PARROT HEADS IN PARADISE (PHIP), INC., SKIPPIN & SIPPIN, INC. welcomes Parrot Heads from across the country to Gulf Shores each October for the _Annual Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk_ during _Meeting of the Minds_.
What began as the dream of one remarkable Mermaid Sister has grown into a meaningful tradition with a morning filled with hope, phriendship, and giving back.
This event brings together runners, walkers, bralunteers, breast cancer patients and survivors, sponsors, and supporters who believe in making a difference. Every registration helps provide hope, meaningful assistance, and lasting support to breast cancer patients throughout Gulf Shores, surrounding communities, and eligible Parrot Head members in good standing nationwide.
IMPORTANT 2026 EVENT UPDATE
Due to changes associated with commercial air service and the resulting increase in traffic in the area, our traditional 5K route is no longer available for this year's event.
After reviewing alternative options and prioritizing participant safety, we have made the decision to transition our traditional 5K into the 2026 SKIPPIN & SIPPIN PHUN WALK.
While this was certainly not the change we anticipated, keeping Skippin & Sippin at LULU'S GULF SHORES was incredibly important to us. LuLu's has become part of what makes this event so special, and we simply could not imagine Skippin & Sippin anywhere else.
Our proposed PHun Walk route will be just shy of one mile and will begin and end at LuLu's. Final route details will be shared once all necessary approvals are complete.
_Already registered for the 5K? _YOUR REGISTRATION WILL AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFER TO THE PHUN WALK. NO ADDITIONAL ACTION IS REQUIRED.
While the distance may be changing, the heart of Skippin & Sippin is not.

TEAM FUNDRAISING AND TEAM AWARDS WILL CONTINUE AS PLANNED, including recognition for our top fundraising teams.
We will also recognize the SUSAN RADOMSKI SPIRIT AWARD, along with costume recognition and additional event awards and PHun throughout the morning.

If you registered before the transition from the 5K to the PHun Walk, YOUR REGISTRATION HAS AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFERRED TO THE 2026 SKIPPIN & SIPPIN PHUN WALK. There is nothing additional you need to do.
Existing registrations remain subject to the registration and refund policies agreed to at the time of registration.

Check In and Silent Auction begin at 7:45 AM. Patient/Survivor Walk begins at 8:45 AM. Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk begins at 9:00 AM. Participate from anywhere and be part of the 2026 Skippin & Sippin PHun Walk while supporting breast cancer patients and our fellow PHriends facing breast cancer. Virtual participants are invited to complete their own PHun Walk from wherever they call home. Walk your neighborhood, your favorite trail, along the beach, or gather your local PHriends and make it a PHun Walk of your own! Virtual registration includes an event t-shirt and commemorative item. Materials will be mailed to virtual participants. A $7.50 shipping fee applies at checkout. Virtual participants can also create or join a fundraising team and are encouraged to share photos from their PHun Walk so we can celebrate our PHamily near and far. -
