Sol stands for solstice and Fest stands for festival. Sol Fest is CorpsTHATs annual fundraiser that incorporates getting outside and celebrating the sun during the month of December. Our fundraiser is a month long Trail-A-Thon, which allows the community and individuals to raise money to support Deaf outdoor programming. During the winter, the earth tilts so that the northern hemisphere is further from the sun causing the nights to become longer and darker. And the daylight will be shorter for the day. So, since it is a short sunny day we take advantage of it by getting outside and enjoying nature. For the month of December, CorpsTHAT celebrates Sol Fest with a Trail-A-Thon!
