Welcome to Stop14: Divernon, home to one of the most beautifully restored Route66 gas stations in Illinois. This 6.6K run/walk captures the essence of the Mother Road: vintage charm, smalltown pride, and history preserved with love. The restored station complete with classic pumps, bright signage, and unmistakable Route66 character serves as the perfect anchor for this event. Its a place where travelers still stop for photos, where nostalgia lives in the details, and where our mission finds a backdrop that feels both authentic and iconic.
This series stands in solidarity with Enric Casacuberta, who is running the entire Illinois stretch of Route66 solo to honor those living with ALS. At each stop, participants join Enric for a 2.1mile shared Sidekick segment a symbolic reminder that no one travels this road alone. Divernon offers one of the most heartfelt meetup points, where restored history meets living purpose.
