Each segment is point-to-point. The first segment is a 30 mile cycling portion, at the end of the cycling portion, athletes will drop their bike off, grab their swim/run gear and start the first run. The endurance event starts with one 30 mile bike segment, includes three open water swims and four trail runs which add up to almost 20 miles of running and 2.1 miles of swimming.
