We are excited to return to Catawba Meadows Greenway in Morganton, NC for the SMBC 5K, 10K, and Fun Run in 2026!
Check-in will be 7:00am - 8:45am
Welcome will be at 8:55am
All Races begin at 9:00am
Awards will be when all races are complete, approximately 10:30am.
Since the inception of South Mountain Baptist Camp in 1957 in the South Mountains of North Carolina, the goal was to provide an environment that fosters spiritual growth through disconnecting from the world so as to connect with God. Time in nature, being exposed to new skills, and making friends, enables children, teenagers, and adults to learn about Jesus Christ and the message of salvation.
South Mountain seeks to keep camp affordable for everyone and offsets the cost of camp by around $100 per camper since it's estimated that the cost of South Mountains summer camp is $205 per week and the true cost of camp is over $300 per week. Proceeds from each race goes directly to the camps operating budget. This race celebrates Gods work through South Mountain and the ability to experience a great, low-cost camp. Join us by running, walking, volunteering, or cheering the participants on!
