Your island escape awaits! Join us at the South Seas Captiva Island Triathlon and swim in the pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico, bike on a closed-course (to vehicular traffic) and enjoy a beautiful run on Florida's Gulf Coast. This beginner friendly event will take place on September 27, 2026 and will feature a Super Sprint for beginners (200 yard Swim, 5 mile Bike, and a 1.5 mile run), and a Sprint distance triathlon, duathlon and aquabike (Tri: .25 mile swim,10 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run - Duathon: 1 mile run, 10 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run - Aquabike: .25 swim, and a 10 mile bike, no run).

Only 45 minutes, yet a world away, Captiva Island is connected to Floridas mainland via Sanibel Causeway and a small bridge over Blind Pass, joining it to Sanibel Island. Tucked away at the northern end of the five-mile long, one-half-mile wide Captiva Island, South Seas is between Pine Island Sound and the Gulf of Mexico, ensconced by two-and-a-half miles of powder-white beaches lapped by turquoise tides.
