Join us for the Southern Chicken Fried on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in the scenic city of Louisville, Jefferson! This family-friendly event features exhilarating races of 25K and 50K, set on a beautiful 2-mile single track trail loop that winds through lush trees, charming creek beds, and offers challenging climbs, all with approximately 250 feet of elevation gain per loop. Whether you're an experienced runner or just looking to enjoy a day outdoors, this event welcomes everyone with an impressive 14-hour cutoff, allowing you the flexibility to walk and still earn your finisher award.
Check-in and bib pick-up will take place from 7:00 AM to 7:50 AM ET, and while there will be a single aid station to support your journey, you are encouraged to bring your own supplies and even donate some tasty chicken feed for fellow participants. Organiser's Description
Come run like a chicken at the family friendly Southern Chicken Fried 25K and 50K.
The course is a 2-mile single track trail loop with plenty of trees, creek beds, challenging climbs, and more. Approximately 250' of elevation gain per loop. This is the same route as the Rollin into the Night run with some modification due to Hurricane Helena.
There is no need to chicken out with the overly generous 14-hour cutoff. You could walk the whole thing and claim your finisher award.
There will be a single aid station and plenty of room to setup your own tables as well. Chicken feed (Aid station food) donations would be appreciated.
